James SparshottProfile: James Sparshott – Si Hing – London Pak Mei Pai
I started training in Martial Arts quite late at the age of 18 (in 1992) and haven't stopped training since. I started out studying Thai Boxing (Muay Thai) for approx 15 years. After being bitten by the Martial Arts bug I explored various Kung Fu styles, James Sparshott Karate and boxing. I competed in both full and semi contact fights both in the UK and Internationally. Some of my achievements are being former European and World K1 Kickboxing Champion.

I felt I wanted something more from my training and started to look at various different styles. I had heard about Pak Mei before and it sounded just what I was looking for Traditional, effective and powerful with impeccable lineage. I went along to one of Sifu's classes in 2007 and was instantly hooked. I loved the short range aggressive no nonsense style and the depth of the internal and external teachings. For me Pak Mei stood out amongst all other styles.

The classes are very tough but rewarding. I love the tough conditioning and sparring, there is so much depth to the art that I never stop learning.
