On-site Tui Na / Acupressure Massage:
On-site Tui Na is based on the principles of traditional Tui Na and acupressure, with some western techniques.

It is similar to An Mo massage and incorporates over 100 'trigger points' to release stress and tension from the head, neck, shoulders, arms and back to leave the client feeling calm, relaxed, energised and alert. The whole sequence has been designed to produce maximum benefits to the client in approximately 20 minutes.

The sequence is received fully clothed, seated either at the desk or on a stool, and using no oils or lotions.

On-site tui na is an immediate stress buster, working to relieve tired aching muscles in the short term and due to its effectiveness in relieving stress, maintaining health in the long term. This style of massage can easily be performed at the clients workplace making it ideal for employee's, employer's with little time in which to unwind.

On-site Ear (Auricular) Acupuncture:
On-site ear acupuncture is similar to traditional acupuncture and incorporates 200 specified points on the human ear that can be treated to relieve the symptoms relating to many serious illnesses including those of the musculoskeletal system, some of the abdominal organs and the liver. The ear is perfectly located to send messages through electrical impulses directly to the brain and can interfere with the normal pain pathways allowing clients to often find relief of their discomfort.

The needles will stay in for approximately 20 - 40 minutes to produce maximum benefits to the client.

The treatment is received fully clothed, seated either at the desk or on even better on specially designed, ergonomic massage chair that gives ease of access to the clients ear, head, neck and back while maintaining full comfort and can be set-up effortlessly in a quiet office in the place of work.

Between Sessions
After the treatment the client may also be offered ear seeds or ear magnets. These are Traditional Chinese Medicine herbal seeds or special tiny magnetized metal balls, which come on a prepared piece of skin toned surgical tape. These are then taped onto the ear like a minute version of a band aid. The seeds are gently massaged by the client a number of times a day, whereas the magnets require no massage. This helps to prolong the rebalancing effect, or can be useful by itself.

Health & Safety
Needles used are sterile, single use, disposable to which I follow strict Health and Safety codes formulated by the BAcC (British Acupuncture Council) which will adhere to local laws. However, if you have any queries I won’t mind if you ask questions about health and safety issues at all.

How Does It Work?
According to Traditional Chinese medicine, the body’s vital energy, the Qi (bio-energy) flows through twelve regular channels, translated from the Chinese commonly as Kidney, Heart, Lung, Large Intestine, Liver, Pericardium, Spleen, Small Intestine, and eight extraordinary channels which connect to each other and the twelve regular channels. The aim of regular ongoing ear acupuncture sessions is to help rebalance the flow in the channels and therefore restore the body towards health.

As an additional factor, TCM views body and mind as an integrated whole, rebalancing the body’s Qi (bio-energy) therefore has an effect in calming the mind
